PALMOILMAGAZINE, DEPOK — Universitas Indonesia (UI) continues to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry through a strategic partnership with PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero). This commitment was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held at Plaza Building, Level 2, Fel Fest UI, Depok, last Friday.
The MoU was signed by UI Rector Prof. Heri Hermansyah and President Director of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero), Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Agus Sutomo. The collaboration aims to boost the development of education, research, and community service, particularly in the fields of agroindustry and sustainable natural resource management.
“This partnership is a concrete step toward bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, especially in tackling future challenges in the plantation sector,” said Prof. Heri during his remarks.

The collaboration is expected to generate innovations and technologies that will strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global plantation sector.
In addition to Agrinas, UI also signed partnership agreements with several state-owned enterprises and leading corporations such as Paragon, BNI, and BTN. These efforts underline UI’s commitment to building a strong partnership ecosystem between academia and the business sector.
