“We want to educate the public that palm oil is part of everyday life — even in the form of fashion you can wear 24 hours a day,” she said in a statement received by Palmoilmagazine.com on Thursday (Aug 14, 2025).

Murti added that opportunities remain wide open for MSME development in palm oil–based products. BPDP also welcomes new partners, provided their products use palm oil or its derivatives and pass a curation process.

Beyond exhibitions, BPDP engaged visitors with interactive educational activities such as a Palm Oil Kahoot Game and a Makeup Challenge, which drew over 400 participants to its booth.

The 20th Jogja Fashion Week, organized by the Yogyakarta Provincial Industry and Trade Office, carried the theme “Threads of Tomorrow”, emphasizing fashion’s role as a driver of sustainable change while staying rooted in cultural traditions. The event featured 156 booths representing regions across Indonesia, including Yogyakarta, Aceh, Jakarta, Banjarmasin, Central Lampung, Surakarta, Semarang, South Kalimantan, Bandung, and Pekalongan.

Yuna Pancawati, Head of the Yogyakarta Industry and Trade Office and Chair of JFW 2025, expressed appreciation to all participants.

“Thank you to the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, Bank Indonesia, BPD DIY, BPDP, and all sponsors for their support,” she said in her report.

This year’s JFW recorded sales transactions — pre-event, during the event, and post-event (by order) — totaling Rp 2.23 billion, an 8% increase from last year. Visitor numbers also surged 37% to 15,255 people. (P2)
