CPO Auction at KPBN on August 8, 2023 Records a Decrease of Rp 135/Kg

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The Crude Palm Oil (CPO) auction held by PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) saw a reduction to Rp 10,720/kg on Tuesday (8/8/2023), marking a decrease of Rp 135/kg compared to the previous Monday’s (7/8/2023) auction, which stood at Rp 10,855/kg.

According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, CPO prices were reported as follows: In Belawan and Dumai, the price was Rp 10,720/kg. In Talang Duku, it was Rp 10,570/kg, with a withdrawal (WD) option at the highest bid of Rp 10,335/kg. Similarly, in Palembang, the price was Rp 10,570/kg, with a WD option at the highest bid of Rp 10,445/kg.

Crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) in Lampung was Rp. 10.917/Kg but in WD with the highest bid Rp 8.000/Kg.

CPO got decreasing as it was at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. As quoted from Reuters, CPO contract reference with the code FCPOc3 for October 2023 delivery at Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange decreased RM 33 or 0,87% to be RM 3.739 (US$ 817,98) per metric ton in the early trade, and the lowest one since 28 June 2023.
