CPO Prices Surge 1.52% at KPBN Inacom Tender on Thursday (14/3), Mirroring Increase in Malaysia Exchange

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The tender price for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was Rp 13,000/kg on Thursday (14/3/2024), marking an increase of Rp 195/kg or approximately 1.52% compared to the previous day’s tender, which stood at Rp 12,805/kg.

According to information received by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN Inacom, the price of Franco CPO in Belawan and Dumai reached Rp 13,000/kg, while in Teluk Bayur it reached Rp 12,870/kg.

In Lampung, Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) was priced at Rp 13,755/kg, but with the highest bid during withdrawal (WD) reaching Rp 10,000/kg. In Dumai, CPKO was priced at Rp 13,976/kg.

Furthermore, CPO prices at the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange continued to rise for the fourth consecutive session on Thursday (14/3/2024), reaching the highest level in a year by midday. This increase was attributed to the rising prices of vegetable oils and growing demands from major importers.

As quoted from Reuters, the CPO reference contract with the code FCPOc3 for May 2024 delivery at Malaysia Derivatives Exchange increased RM 89 per ton, or about 2,12%, to RM 4.284 (US$ 914,21) in the midday.
