PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at IDR 14,988/kg on Friday (March 21, 2025), marking a 0.66% decline (approximately IDR 100/kg) compared to the highest offer price of IDR 15,008/kg on Wednesday (March 19, 2025).
According to information from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Belawan & Dumai was set at IDR 14,988/kg, while Franco Teluk Bayur was priced at IDR 14,858/kg.
Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, Malaysian palm oil futures edged higher on Friday (March 21, 2025) amid expectations of stronger demand from India and China. However, the market remains on track for a second consecutive weekly decline due to weaker Chicago soybean oil futures and slowing Malaysian palm oil exports.
The benchmark FCPOc3 contract for June 2025 delivery on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose RM5 per ton (up 0.11%) to RM4,418 (US$999.32) per metric ton by midday. Despite this slight gain, the contract has declined 3.45% over the week.
According to a Thursday report from independent inspection firm AmSpec Agri Malaysia, Malaysian palm oil product exports for March 1-20 fell 5%. Meanwhile, cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services reported a 14.2% drop in exports.
Additionally, Dalian’s most active soybean oil contract (DBYcv1) fell 0.22%, while its palm oil contract (DCPcv1) dipped 0.09%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soybean oil futures (BOcv1) dropped 0.7%.
