PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) rose slightly to IDR 14,576/kg on Monday (July 21, 2025). This marks a modest increase of IDR 21/kg or 0.14% compared to Friday’s (July 18, 2025) price of IDR 14,555/kg.
According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com, the CPO Franco price at Belawan was set at IDR 14,576/kg. The Franco Dumai price was also opened at IDR 14,576/kg, but was later withdrawn (WD) with the highest bid reaching IDR 14,425/kg. Meanwhile, the FOB Talang Duku price opened at IDR 14,376/kg and was similarly withdrawn, with the top offer recorded at IDR 14,283/kg.
On the international front, Reuters reported that CPO prices on the Malaysian exchange declined on Monday (July 21, 2025), erasing the gains made in the previous session. The drop was attributed to falling global soybean oil prices and expectations of weaker exports.

The benchmark CPO futures contract for October 2025 delivery on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell by RM41 per metric ton or 0.95%, settling at RM4,274 per metric ton during the mid-day break — approximately equivalent to US$1,008.73 per ton.
David Ng, an analyst and trader at Kuala Lumpur-based trading firm Iceberg X Sdn Bhd, noted that the CPO market is currently under pressure from two major factors: the decline in soybean oil prices and sluggish export demand.
“The palm oil futures market tends to follow the downtrend in soybean oil prices, coupled with lackluster export expectations,” Ng told Reuters.
In other commodity markets, the most active soybean oil contract in Dalian dropped 0.27%, while palm oil futures on the same exchange edged up by 0.38%. Meanwhile, soybean oil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade also fell 0.27%, adding further downward pressure on Malaysian CPO.
