PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — The crude palm oil (CPO) price offered by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was withdrawn on Friday, July 25, 2025. The highest bid recorded was Rp14,450/kg, marking a decline of Rp175/kg or around 1.20% compared to the previous day’s price of Rp14,625/kg.
According to information obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com from KPBN, the CPO Franco prices for Belawan and Dumai initially opened at Rp14,525/kg but were later withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching only Rp14,450/kg. Meanwhile, the Loco Kembayan price opened at Rp14,075/kg but was also withdrawn, with the highest bid at Rp13,770/kg.
In parallel, Reuters reported that Malaysian CPO futures opened lower on Friday, erasing all gains made earlier in the week. The bearish trend was primarily driven by weaker prices of palm olein on the Dalian Exchange and soyoil on the Chicago Board of Trade, which outweighed the positive sentiment from rising global crude oil prices.

The benchmark CPO contract for October delivery dropped by RM65 or 1.5% to RM4,265 (equivalent to US$1,011.14) per metric ton during the early session. This downturn brought the contract’s weekly performance down by 0.09%, ending a three-week rally.
Global market trends are placing additional pressure on Malaysian palm oil prices. While the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange slightly increased by 0.49%, palm oil contracts on the same exchange declined by 0.69%. Similarly, the soyoil price on the Chicago Board of Trade fell by 0.35%.
As major substitutes and competitors to palm oil, the movement of global soyoil and palm olein prices significantly impacts CPO market dynamics, especially in terms of demand and export competitiveness.
