KPBN Inacom CPO Withdraws on Thursday (Sept 4), Malaysia’s Palm Oil Trade Stays Tight

PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) market at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) recorded a withdraw (WD) on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The highest bid stood at Rp14,660/kg, marking a slight increase of Rp10/kg or around 0.07% compared to Wednesday’s price of Rp14,650/kg.

According to KPBN data, Franco Dumai CPO opened at Rp14,665/kg, but ended as a WD with the highest bid at Rp14,660/kg. Meanwhile, FOB Talang Duku was set at Rp14,465/kg.

On the global stage, Reuters reported that Malaysian palm oil futures traded within a narrow range on Thursday but still secured a weekly gain. Market participants are closely watching next week’s data release from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) for clearer direction.

The benchmark November 2025 contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed up RM7 per ton or 0.16%, at RM4,449 (US$1,058) per ton. On a weekly basis, it climbed 1.42%. With Malaysia’s national holiday set for Friday, some traders chose to trim positions ahead of the long weekend.

A Reuters survey suggested that Malaysia’s palm oil inventories likely rose for a sixth consecutive month in August, as production continued to outpace exports despite signs of a gradual recovery in global demand.

In related vegetable oil markets, Dalian’s most active soyoil contract fell 0.14%, while its palm oil contract slipped 0.21%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soyoil edged down 0.1%.
