PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was set at IDR 14,625/kg on Tuesday (September 9, 2025). This marks an increase of IDR 98/kg, or about 0.67%, compared to the highest offer recorded on Monday (September 8, 2025), which stood at IDR 14,527/kg.

According to KPBN data obtained by Palmoilmagazine.com, the CPO Franco Dumai price was set at IDR 14,625/kg, while Franco Teluk Bayur stood at IDR 14,495/kg.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Malaysian palm oil futures posted a slight gain on Tuesday (September 9, 2025), tracking sideways moves in other vegetable oils on the Dalian and Chicago exchanges. Market players remain cautious, awaiting fresh guidance from upcoming data on stock levels and demand.

The benchmark palm oil futures contract for November 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose by RM 1 per ton, or 0.02%, to RM 4,489 (US$1,067.28) per metric ton during the midday break.

A Reuters survey indicated that Malaysia’s palm oil inventories are expected to rise again in August, marking the sixth consecutive monthly increase. The stock buildup is attributed to production outpacing exports, despite signs of recovering demand.

On overseas markets, the most active soyoil contract on China’s Dalian exchange edged up by 0.05%, while its palm oil contract rose 0.53%. In contrast, soyoil prices on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) slipped 0.08%.
