PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has reaffirmed the government’s firm commitment to combating the plundering of state assets, following the recovery of more than IDR 6.6 trillion through the work of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH). The announcement was made during the handover of recovered state funds at the Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday (December 24, 2025).
In his address, President Prabowo described the moment as both a personal honor and a source of deep satisfaction. He emphasized that the trillions of rupiah recovered represent the tangible outcome of cross-agency cooperation since the task force was established on January 21, 2025, under Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2025.
“This is a real result of your hard work. IDR 6.6 trillion is not a small figure—but let me be clear, this is only the beginning,” Prabowo said before senior law enforcement officials and representatives from relevant ministries, as monitored by Palmoilmagazine.com on Wednesday (12/24).

The President revealed that the task force has also successfully reclaimed more than 4 million hectares of forest areas that for years had been unmanaged, unlawfully controlled, or illegally exploited by corporations and other parties. He acknowledged that the process was far from easy, given the vast territory involved and the resistance encountered on the ground.
“I know you are working in difficult conditions, far from media attention and cameras. There has been resistance, obstruction of verification efforts, and even communities being incited by hired thugs. Yet you continue to serve—out of love for the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
Prabowo extended special appreciation to the Attorney General’s Office, the National Police, the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, BPKP, and all institutions involved in the task force. He stressed that from the very start of his presidency, he had resolved to confront the long-standing plunder of state wealth.

“The moment I was sworn in, I made a commitment to fight the looting of state assets—by anyone, anywhere. Do not hesitate. Do not discriminate. Do not yield to lobbying. Safeguard state assets—that is our duty,” he asserted.
The President also warned that potential state losses could be far greater if all violations were fully accounted for, with unpaid fines potentially reaching hundreds of trillions of rupiah. “Some parties thought they could act with impunity. Today we prove otherwise—and we will continue to prove that the state is serious,” he said.
To illustrate the impact of the recovered funds, Prabowo outlined their potential public benefits. The IDR 6.6 trillion, he said, could be used to renovate approximately 6,000 schools, build 100,000 permanent housing units for disaster victims, or finance tax obligations and disaster response efforts across multiple regions.
“This is the people’s money. It is the lifeblood of the state,” he emphasized.
In a reflective tone, Prabowo likened the nation to a human body, with state assets serving as its blood. If that blood continues to leak through corruption, falsified reporting, and under-invoicing practices, the state will inevitably weaken. He made clear that he would not be deterred by pressure, slander, or criticism.
“I was elected by the Indonesian people. It is my honor to defend truth and stand with the people. In 2026, I assure you we will take even bolder steps,” he declared.
Closing his speech, President Prabowo encouraged members of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force and law enforcement agencies to remain steadfast. He hailed them as patriots and the frontline defenders of justice, forests, and Indonesia’s national wealth.
“We are on the right path—a noble path. The people support us and pray for us. Do not be afraid. Do not waver. On behalf of the Indonesian people, I thank you,” Prabowo concluded. (P2)
