PALMOILMAGAZINE, KUKAR – The East Kalimantan Plantation Agency’s Technical Implementation Unit for Seed Monitoring (Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas Pengawasan Benih Perkebunan / UPTD PBP) conducted a seed regulation awareness campaign in the Anggana Subdistrict of Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
Eka Rini Elvianti, representing the East Kalimantan Plantation Agency, inaugurated the event on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. According to an official statement to Palmoilmagazine.com, the socialization event drew 35 participants, including members of smallholder groups, field instructors, and UT P3R officials from Anggana Subdistrict in Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
The primary objective was to facilitate knowledge sharing, broaden insights, align perceptions, and foster a unified understanding of plantation seed regulations.

Rini emphasized the importance of enhancing understanding among smallholders, groups, and technical officials regarding regulations, particularly concerning palm oil. “By strengthening their comprehension, they will adhere to existing regulations, leading to increased and sustainable plantation productivity. It all begins with planting superior seeds,” she remarked on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Legal sanction was also discussed in the socialization because it would escalate the awareness and consequences if (the smallholders) break the regulation. It means, the socialization shoud positively deliver impacts to obey the regulation about seeds which eventually would escalate the quality and productivity of plantation sectors in East Kalimantan.
