PALMOILMAGAZINE, JAKARTA – Efforts to accelerate digital transformation in the palm oil plantation sector are gaining momentum. PT LAT Trisakti, in collaboration with the Indonesian Institute of Palm Oil Technology (ITSI), has officially introduced the first batch of students from the Information Systems and Technology program, who will undergo industry internships at mySAP365 client plantations from September to December 2025.
This program marks an important milestone in preparing the next generation of plantation professionals, particularly in the implementation of the mySAP365 Agrobusiness Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Widely adopted by palm oil companies, the system integrates supply chains, records field productivity, and tracks operational costs in real time.
“Young people must be equipped to master digital systems that are increasingly crucial for the future of palm oil plantations. Through this internship, students will not only learn theory but also directly practice how mySAP365 is applied on-site,” said a representative of PT LAT Trisakti in an official statement received by Palmoilmagazine.com, Tuesday (Sept 16, 2025).

Throughout the program, students will be placed at various plantation sites of mySAP365 clients. They will gain hands-on experience in harvest recording, workforce management, crop maintenance, and integrating operational data into company control centers.
To ensure participants can fully focus on learning, PT LAT Trisakti is providing accommodation and transportation support for the duration of the internship.
Digitalization is becoming an inevitable trend in Indonesia’s palm oil sector, which spans 17.3 million hectares nationwide. Technology-based management is seen as essential to boosting efficiency and transparency. Systems like mySAP365 reduce losses from manual recordkeeping while supporting sustainable plantation practices increasingly demanded by global markets.
“Indonesia’s palm oil industry must swiftly adopt data-driven management. Young professionals with field experience will be the driving force behind this change,” the LAT Trisakti management added.
Through this collaboration, the initiative aims to nurture a new generation that not only masters digital technology but also understands the complexities of palm oil plantation management—strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global market. (P2)
