PALMOILMAGAZINE, PALU — The Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulteng) reaffirmed their commitment to promoting fair and sustainable governance in the palm oil industry. This statement was delivered by Police Commissioner Heri Edrino Sihombing, S.I.K., M.H., representing the Central Sulawesi Police Chief at the GAPKI Sulawesi Branch’s 2025 Celebes Forum, as reported by RRI.
The annual forum serves as a strategic platform for stakeholders in Eastern Indonesia’s palm oil sector to strengthen collaboration and shape the future of Sulawesi’s palm oil industry. The region is increasingly viewed as a new growth hub for Indonesia’s palm oil sector, supported by vast land potential, growing investments, and the improving capacity of smallholders and local businesses.
In his remarks, Commissioner Heri emphasized the critical role of law enforcement in ensuring that all plantation activities comply with legal frameworks and environmental sustainability principles. “We are here to ensure that the palm oil industry in Sulawesi develops in a healthy, orderly, and community-oriented manner,” he said.

He further noted that transparent and fair law enforcement will foster a conducive business climate while encouraging responsible practices across the sector.
The forum also reinforced collaboration between government institutions, industry players, and law enforcement agencies to advance a competitive green economy.
