InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –About 1.500 businessmen and stakeholders would attend the 13thIPOC (Indonesian Palm Oil Conference) and 2018 Price Outlook in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center on 1-3 November 2017. They are from the chains of palm oil business. This event would be different too for it would be attended by the smallholders.
It is planned, the biggest palm oil conference in the world would be inaugurated by Coordinator Secretary in Economy, Darmin Nasution. Some other secretaries that might attend it are Secretary of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman; Secretary of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita; Secretary of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial/Head of National Land Agency, Sofyan Djalil.
Some experts in economy and commodity in the world would be the keynote speakers in the conference to be reference for the businessmen and stakeholders.
“This year, the theme is Growth through Productivity: Partnership with Smallholders. From the theme, we would get insight about how to cultivate palm oil plantation in the future according to the global demand that tends and concerns about the sustainable issues, particularly the relationship between the companies and the smallholders,” Chairperson of IPOC 2017, Mona Surya said in Jakarta.
IPOC itself is the international palm oil conference done by Indonesian Palm Oil Association in every single year. Coordinator Secretary in Economy, Darmin Nasution would inagurate and tell his speech about the latest policy of the government about palm oil industrial development nationally.
This might relate to the bigger role of this industry to the economy nationally both in the revenue, poverty alleviation, and the employment. Mona also said, Secretary of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial/Head of National Land Agency, Sofyan Djalil would tell his speech about the spatial that becomes the basic thing to develop palm oil industries in Indonesia.
