Import in India Increased 1,1% in October

InfoSAWIT, MUMBAI – According to The Solvent Extractors' Association of India, the imports in the country increased 1,1% in Octobercompared to the previous year to be 747.658 metrictonss.

It happened for the traders and distillers bought more to fulfill the demands to celebrate the holy days of Hindu, such as, DussehraandDiwaliin bulan September and November.

But the numbers were less than those in the previous prediction that reached 755.000 tons in the survey of Bloomberg. The total vegetable oil buying, including the sun flower oil and for the industrial needs inOctoberdecreased 0,5% to be 1,17 million tons.

Meanwhile, crude palm oil (CPO) increased 4,5% in October. It was the biggest since July. The demands were from India and China. The general buying in India increased as the biggest palm oil importer country in the world. (T3)
