The businessmen in Hong Kong are enthusiastic to make Indonesia as the business partner. That is why, the making of INACHAM is really appreciated,” Enggartiasto said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Saturday (2/12/2017).

The making of INACHAM has been running for the last two years and got its moment when President Joko Widodo visited Hong Kong in May 2017. The making of INACHAM by the end of November was the fast response of many sides after the signing of Free Trade Agreement and Investment Agreement between ASEAN and Hong Kong in the ASEAN Summit in Manila, Philippine, in the midst of November 2017.
The businessmen in Hong Kong and in Indonesia that have business in Hong Kong aim Indonesia as the partner and long term investment. This is proved that Indonesia is a “critical mass” in ASEAN that starts to play its role in the leadership, while the economy in China and Japan tends to face moderation of development because of some factors.
If Indonesia takes Hong Kong as the door to do more business in China and takes more investment into Indonesia, the Hong Kong businessmen take Indonesia as the ‘business hub’ to and in ASEAN and the other partner of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) ASEAN, such as, Australia, India, Japan, South Korea, China, and New Zeland.
“The concept of regional networking through Hong Kong is very interesting to be developed in Indonesia. It happens because Hong Konghas special relationship with China that could be advantaged to support the exports from Indonesia to China. Besides as one center of the world financial, Indonesia could take Hong Kong as the regional center of promotion to invest and to facilitate the coming of new investment to Indonesia,” Enggartiasto said.
In his speech, Enggar hoped, INACHAM that is in the 11th floor, Nanyang Plaza, 57 Hung-To Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong could effectively operate knowing that the trade competition and investment in many countries get tougher in the world economy that moderately develops in the future.
The President of INCHAM – Hong Kong is the same as the President of INACHAM in Beijing, James Hartono, while the Chairman of INACHAM-Hong Kong is Tjia Boen Sien, Indonesian businessman who does business with Hong Kong for more than 30 years. (T2)
