InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – PT Pelita Samudera Shipping Tbk (PSSI) plans to expand its business to crude palm oil (CPO) transportation next year. Meanwhile for these days, the company runs its business in transporting and uploading coal.
President Director of Pelita Samudera Shipping, Iriawan Ibarat, said, the company wants to transport the commodity out of coal. He mentioned, there had been discussion to get CPO transportation contract. “We would tell the contract next month,” he said in Jakarta, as quoted from Bareksa, Tuesday, (5/12/2017).
Now Pelita Samudera is committed to transport coal from big customers, such as, PT Marunda Graha Mineral, PT Batubara Global Energy, PT Berau Usaha Mandiri, PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya, PT Trubaindo Coal Mining, PT Bumiraya Utama Lines, KCH Energy Co, and Adani Global Pte.
Pelita Samudera just got fresh fund reaching about Rp 135,8 billion through the initial public offering (IPO) of the share. The company released 1 billion of share or equal to 20 percent of the modal, and it is Rp 135 per share.
It is planned, the company would use about 60 percent of the IPO share to have capital expenditure (capex). The rests, 20 percent would be used to pay the debts to the banks, and the other 20 percent would fund the modal of work.
He also said, IPO is part of the strategy to get the sustainable progress in the logistic service and transportation that are integrated to the miners and the coal businessmen.
The company would sustainable invest in the tugboats, barge, and facility of floating ship, expand the motahuner vesses, and tanker, and diversify the business, such as, transporting CPO, besides coal.(T3)
