InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –In October, some countries where Indonesia keeps exporting crude palm oil (CPO), such as, China, increased its demands reaching 14% or from 370,47 thousandtonsin September to be 423,74thousandtons, then European Union (increased 18%), USA (increased 11%), and Bangladesh (increased 22%).
According to Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), CPO exports to Pakistan significantly decreased from Indonesia, reaching 32% or from 211,52 thousandtonsin September to be 144,26 thousandtonsin October.
The decreasing demands from Pakistan happened for the active crushing plant in the country and triggred the soybean and canola imports. Besides, the price really determines the counttry to its CPO volume to buy.
It was the same in India where the CPO demand decreased 16% or from 650,75 thousandtonsin September to be 544,17 thousandtons in October. “The decreasing demands from India happened for the expensive price and the import duty. Besides India is having soybean stock in the country,” General Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) Togar Sitanggang said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday, (15/12/2017).
