InfoSAWIT, BANJARMASIN – Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) South Kalimantan, A Yuliani hoped, there should be coordination among the province in Kalimantan to maximize the palm oil industries in the island.
He said that because there are many palm oil factories (POFs) in Kalimantan lack of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) to produce. For example, he continued, as quoted from Banjarmasinpost.co.id, two POFs belonging to Sinar Mas Group and Minamas Group that have capacity about 5500 tons of CPO/day could not maximally produce for the lack of FFB.
He also thought, the two POFs should be the additional values to develop palm oil in South Kalimantan. “The more POF, the more FFB would be. So it needs cooperation of every region,” he said.
He continued, developing palm oil in the province would need not only the policy in South Kalimantan. “But also the policy among the province to maximize the potential,” he said.(T2)
