CPO Demand in 2017 Increased

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In2017, the countries as the goals of palm oil export from Indonesia mostly increased their demands. India had significant increasing demands reaching about 7,63 million tonsin 2017 or increased about 32% compared to 2016 that reached 5,78 million tons.

According to Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (30/1/2018), the exports to African countries also increased 50% reaching 2,29 million tonsin 2017 while in the previous year, the exports reached about 1,52 million tons.

“The increasing CPO demand also happened in China about 16% orfrom3,23 million tonsin 2016 to be3,73 million tonsin 2017,” General Secretary of IPOA, Togar Sitanggang said in the press conference with some media that InfoSAWIT attended.

The Europen Union countries also increased the demands about 15% (2016 : 4,37 tons, 2017 : 5,03 million tons), Pakistan increased 7% (2016 : 2,07 million tons, 2017 : 2,21 million tons), United States of America increased 9% (2016 : 1,08 million tons, 2017 : 1,18 million tons), Bangladesh increased 36% (2016 : 922,85 thousand tons, 2017 : 1,26 million tons) and Middle East countries increased 7% (2016 : 1,98 million tons, 2017 : 2,12 million tons).
