InfoSAWIT, KUTAI TIMUR –Two unions -Koperasi Jasa Mutiara Kongbenghaving 623,51 hectaresand Koperasi Prima Pantun having 191,38 hectareshave passed the Main Audit process to get Indonesian Sustainable Palm Ol (ISPO) in the independent smallholders schemme.
On Thursday (23/2/2018) Lembaga Sertifikasi (LS) PT Mutuagung Lestari announced that the two unions passed the process and the unions got ISPO certificates.
So the unions were the first independent plasma unions getting ISPO certificates in Kalimantan and the second ones in national level.
Though there would be one phase, that is, ISPO Commission session, Head of ISPO Secretariat, Azis Hidayat, said, the result reported by the Lembaga Sertifikasi would be evaluated. But it is in the final phase. If there is no issue, ISPO certificate could be symbolically given in March 2018. “If it is final, we would give the certificate in March,” he recently said in Kutai Timur.
Meanwhile, Treasurer ofKoperasi Prima Pantun, Heronimus Mat Eng, said, joining ISPO certificate process supports the smallholders to improve the cultivation. It is hoped, there would be better production, and their economy would be too. “We support the implementation of ISPO to our better lives,” he said.(T2)
