InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the public hearing that palm oil plantation company did, PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ), it was informed that the company focuses to develop new and renewable energy.
Its subsidiary, PT Austindo Aufwind New Energy (AANE) focuses to develop biogas plant from palm oil mill effluent (POME) to optimize the plant in its palm oil plantation in Pulau Belitung.
Director of ANJ, Istini T Siddharta said, the factory advantages the methane gas to be electricity within the capacity about 1,8 MW and it could distribute to 2000 houses within capacity 900 VA through PT PLN. “ANJ also plans to build other biogas plant in other plantation to be internally used to reduce the dependence of conventional source of electricity and reduce the green – house gas emission,” she said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.
The company has also finished the ownership divestation reaching 99,99% of shares in PT Darajat Geothermal Indonesia (DGI) and sold it to Star Energy Geothermal, and sold the share ownership in PT Star Energy Geothermal Suoh Sekincau (SGSS) to PT Barito Pacific Tbk within non - routine profits about USS 22,4 million.
