InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –According to Statistic Central Bureau in 2016, the total trade between Indonesia and India reached US$ 12,9billion while the trade balance between both countries in 2016 was surplus for Indonesia reaching US$ 7,2 billion.

The exports from Indonesia to India in January -June 2017 reached US$ 6,9billion or increased  51,22% from the same period in the previous year which reached US$ 4,5 billion. While the imports of Indonesia from India in January -June 2017 reached US$ 1,9billion or increased 49,10% from the same period in the previous year that reached  US$ 1,3 billion.

From the data got byInfoSAWIT, the mainstay export commodities of Indonesia to India were crude palm oil and its derivatives, coal, tin ore, natural rubber, and MonocarboxylicFatty Acidsindustries. The main import commodities of Indonesia from India in 2016 wereCyclic Hydrocarbons, peanuts, frozen cow meat, stainless rolled floor within 600 mm width or more and synthetic organic coloring material.(T2)
