InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –The palm oil exports from Indonesia in the first semester 2018 were pressed. The exports (CPO, PKO, and the derivative, including oleochemical and biodiesel) just reached 15,30 milliontonsordecreased 2% compared to the same period in last year that reached 15,62 milliontons.
While the export volume for CPO, PKO, and its derivatives (not oleochemical and biodiesel) in the semester I 2018, decreased 6% from 15,04 milliontons in the first semester 2017 to be 14,16 milliontonsin thesame period in 2018.
While palm oil production in Indonesia in thefirst semester 2018 reached 22,32 milliontons. “The numbers increased 23% compared to the last year production in the same period that reached 18,15 milliontons. The increasing production in the first semester happened for the good weather and the El Nino that starts to vanish,” Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Mukti Sardjonosaid in the official statement toInfoSAWIT, Friday (27/7/2018).(T2)
