InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resource (EMR) decided that since September 2018, every kind of diesel would be mixed by 20% of palm oil.
General Director of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of EMR, Rida Mulyana said, the implementation to mix 20% of palm oil biodiesel to diesel (B20) would be running for every kind of subsidized and non-subsidized diesel which is sold in Indonesia.
To implement the policy, Ministry of EMR is now arranging the President’s Regulation. It is hoped, the regulation could be immediately published so that in the early of September, it could run within the brand, Biosolar.
It is said, in the implementation of B20, the government would point the enterprises to distribute the diesel and mix it. Rida also threatened, if it is not done, there would be sanction to give, such as, fine reaching Rp 6 thousand per liter on the diesel which is sold without mixing 20% of palm oil. “There would be sanction, Rp 6.000 per liter. The (license of) companies would be given or not, would be managed by General Directorate of Oil and Gas. But there would be evaluation to it,” Rida said as InfoSAWITquoted fromLiputan6. (T2)
