InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The implementation to expand the mixture of palm oil biodiesel 20% to diesel (B20) for non – public service obligation (non-PSO) was officially announced by the government on August 31st, 2018 and would effectively run on September 1st, 2018.
Apical Group, through its subsidiaries - PT Cemerlang Energi Perkasa (PT CEP) and PT Kutai Refinery Nusantara (PT KRN) -supports the policy to use biodiesel from crude palm oil.
The two companies, PT CEP and PT KRN, got the allocation about 174.341 kiloliters (kl)for the PSO to be supplied in May -December 2018 and non-PSO for September-December 2018 reaching 89.097 klto be distributed to some regions, such as, Sumatera, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Bali, Banten, and Nusa Tenggara Timur.
“Apical supports the renewable energy usage within palm oil as the material to create the energy security nationally, and supports to distribute the environmental energy to many regions in Indonesia,” Head of Commercial Biodiesel, Apical in Indonesia, Jummy Sinaga recently said when attending the launching of B20 expansion program in Jakarta through the official statement to InfoSAWIT.
