InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Asian Agri and Apical joined the event, Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2018. In the event, President Indonesia, Joko Widodo accompanied by Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita visited and saw the stand of the companies.
In the opportunity, Corporate Affairs Director, Asian Agri, Fadhil Hasan told to President Joko Widodo about the readiness of the smallholders in Buatan, Riau who joined the Smallholders’ Replanting Program in 206 would have the first harvest in next November.
135 smallholders joining KUD Mulus Rahayuplanted superior seeds from Topaz to the program in 310 hectares. Developed by Asian Agri during the preparation of the replanting program to have the first harvest, the smallholders were also trained about getting the alternative income during the immature plantation, and the training about the cultivation and nursery.
“The replanting would increase the productivity and the income of the smallholders and support the sustainability of palm oil itself to be environmental and be competitive in the international markets,” FadhilHasan said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT..
The first harvest of the smallholders joining KUD Mulus Rahayu is supported by the sustainable palm oil industries in Indonesia. (T2)
