InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA -According to Director of RSPO Indonesia, Tiur Rumondang, palm oil plantations have big roles to help the smallholders in their economy. So they should not implement their old day – destructive habits but by substituting the new habits – implementing the sustainable plantation practices.
Just the same with that, as non – profit organization that focuses to palm oil, RSPO Indonesia keeps helping and urging the planters including the smallholders in Indonesia to do the best and sustainable cultivation.
“The smallholders should have powerful institutions so that they succeed to implement the best and sustainable cultivation to increase their productivity. Their productivity (fresh fruit bunch) should be more than 36 tons per hectare per year,” she said. (T1)
