InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Palm oil plantation and food agribusiness company, PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ) got two awards as the confessions of commitment to develop sustainable plantation and good corporate governance.
The first award was handed over by General Directorate of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture on Monday (10/12) as one of seven companies that actively develops sustainable palm oil plantations. The award was given right on the Plantation Day the 61st in Gedung Sate, Bandung.
In the same day in Jakarta, ANJ also got Good Corporate Governance for Top Ten Market Capitalization Public Listed Company category and one of three companies within Best Non-Financial Sector. The award was given by Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in the tenth anniversary of the institute.
The second award completes the 2017 Sustainability Report within the ‘Gold Rank’ that ANJ got in the previous event in Asia Sustainability Reporting (ASR) Rating 2018 which was done by National Center for Sustainability Reporting in Lampung (8/12).
CEO Grup ANJ, Istini T Siddharta, said, ”The three awards are the confession and admission of our sustainability commitment, the communication of work among the stakeholders, and the implementation of the good corporate governance,” Istini recently said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.
She also said that the good corporate governance increased the reputation of the company and the trust of its partners – such as, the suppliers, the banks, the service providers – so the company could choose other companies which have good prestige and competitive price.
“We do respect the appreciation and confession from other sides to our commitment and hard work. The awards could increase our motivation to increase the work of the company in the dynamic competition and realize our vision - to increase the quality of mankind and nature,” she said. (T2)
