Isran Noor: CSF Should be in the Regional Cash

InfoSAWIT, SAMARINDA – For all these years, the government through Ministry of Finance has made tax from every crude palm oil (CPO) export deriving from many regions including East Kalimantan.

It is plenteous about US$ 50 for every ton of exported CPO. The tax could be used to do replanting program.

Governor of East Kalimantan, H. Isran Noor got an idea to struggle that the CPO Supporting Fund (CSF) could be returned to the province,

“Every time we export CPO, there would be CSF 50$ per ton taken from the export. But it is not put into the cash of the country. It is said too that the CSF would be for replanting program,” he said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Thursday (3/1/2019).

He also mentioned that East Kalimantan produces CPO about 3,5 million tons per year. If the numbers time US$ 50, Ministry of Finance got about US$ 165 million.

“If the numbers are multiplied for 10 years, there would be US$ 1,65 billion. It means that the numbers are not returned to the regional cash by the central government. “I would deal with that,” Isran said.

He also said, it is predicted that in 2020, the CPO from Benua Etam would be about 4 million tons per year and it is hoped that the people in the province could struggle maximally for developing and welfaring the people themselves.

“If 4 million times 50 dollars, it means that 200 million dollar are gathered from CSF. Let us do something,” he said. (T2)
