To Boost the Export, The Government would Make Simpler Procedures

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The government predicted that  trade balance would be deficit would in 2019. So the Coordinator Minister in Economy suggested to increase the exports by publishing the policy, they are, symplification procedure, and logistic efficiency. The two would immediately influence the trade work and export competitiveness.

“We need the instruments of policy to increase the exports to maintain the stable trade balance, namely in the first quarter of this year. The instrument is immediately done, short term, and middle long term,” Coordinator Minister in Economy, Darmin Nasution said when leading the Coordination Meeting to Increase the Export kspor in the official statement toInfoSAWIT.

The focus in the meeting, Darmin continued, was that the government tried to formulate the policy to increase the exports in this short time by improving the procedures.

The government planned to publish two policies to increase the export which immediately reacts. The first is by simplifying the export procedures to give efficient cost and time by eliminating the commodity which needs survey report and other limited ban.

“We would coordinate to revoke the Regulation of Minister of Trad about the survey report. We would finish it next week,” Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita said.

On the other hand, to increase the efficiency of logistic, the government planned to optimize enforcement system of Delivery Order (DO) within online to increase the flow of goods and press the dwelling time. The government also planned to ease the export service procedure and improve the business process for the automotive sectors.

“This could eliminate the line of the goods and could reduce the traffic in the ports. The stakeholders have agreed with the proposals,” General Director of Custom, Ministry of Finance, Heru Pambudi.

Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita, Governor of Indonesia Bank, Perry Warjiyo, Chairman of Dewan Komisioner Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Wimboh Santoso, General Director of Tax, Ministry of Finance, Robert Pakpahan; General Director of Custom, Ministry of Finance, Heru Pambudi; Secretary of Coordinator Ministry in Economy, Susiwijono; Deputy in Perniagaan and Industri Coordinator Ministry in Economy, Adi Winarso, and the other officials from related ministries and agency attended the meeting.
