InfoSaWIT, JAKARTA - In January 2019 palm oil exports from Indonesia increased. The volume (CPO and its derivatives – oleochemical and biodiesel) increased 4% compared to December 2018, or increased from 3,13 million tons to be 3,25 million tons.
Meanwhile the CPO, PKO, and the derivative exports (not oleochemical and biodiesel) reached 3,10 million tons or increased 5% compared to December 2018 which reached 2,95 million tons.
“The exports in January consisted of CPO about 746,06 thousand tons or about 23% from total export volume and the rests 77% were the derivative products or processed CPO. The increasing market demands globally could be significantly supported by the demands from some non-traditional markets,” Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Mukti Sardjono said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (1/3/2019) in Jakarta.
