InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – In the documents from Serikat Pekerja Pertanian dan Perkebunan PT Wanakarya Mulya Kahuripan (WMK) No. 002/PUK/F.SPPP-SPSI/WMK/IV/2019 bertanggal 27 April 2019, the labors stopped working.
From what InfoSAWIT got, they stopped working because the publication of Standing Instruction No. 13/SI-MD/III/2019 and the assumption to break the Laws of Labors or UU Ketenagakerjaan No. 13/2013.
In the documents it is written that the labors joining Serikat Pekerja Seluruh Indonesia (SPSI) stopped working on Thursday and Friday, (02-03 Mei 2019) in the office of WMK in Bunga Mayang, District of Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), South Sumatera.
They claimed five things to the company which is the subsidiary of Dharma Surya Nusantara (DSN).
The claims were, the first, to cancel the publication of Standing Instruction No. 13/SI-MD/III/2019 about the demotion; the second, if the company does not return the position of some labors to where they were, they want to have work termination with the company based on the Laws of LaborsNo. 13 Tahun 2013.
The third is to reject the fine or salary reduction for the nursery and harvest labors without clear and transparent regulations both in oral and in written.
The fourth is to ask for the company to give status of the freelancer to be daily labors based on KEPMEN No. 100 / 2004 Chapter 10 paragraph 3. The fifth is if the company publishes a regulation, there should be communication and discussion with bipartite in the first place.
A labor said that since DSN manages the palm oil plantation company, every labor is not comfortable to work because of illogic regulations. “We hoped that the foreman could work as usual. The freelancer to nurse could work for 6 days in one week, and the freelancers could be as daily labors,” he said.
InfoSAWIT noted, PT WMK got Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate since 11 December 2015 within the limits of certificate on 10 December 2020. PT WMK produced 5.660 tons of crude palm oil and 1.206,65 tons of palm kernel oil. (T2)
