InfoSAWIT, SANGGAU – In the recent days the smallholders joining in Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) discussed about the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase the capacity of sustainable cultivation and development of smallholders’ replanting program (SRP) with the regional government of Sanggau.
In the official statement to InfoSAWIT, the goal of the MoU is, the first, as the same understanding and the basic to both sides (government and SPKS) to encourage the plantation vision in the district.
The second, to cooperate, coordinate, and synergize the resources among both sides to do many things to increase the palm oil production sustainably in the smallholder level.
Then there would be some activities in the future, such as, the socialization to the independent smallholders in the district, do training for them to increase their productivity.
The promotion of sustainable palm oil in the smallholder level in the district encourages the making of Multi Stakeholder Forum as the same forum for the stakeholders in the district, starting from the company, association of the smallholders/union, the government and to make socialization, complete data of the smallholders to run SRP within the target 2019-2021.
