The First Semester of 2019 Palm Oil Biodiesel Absorption Reached 3,29 Million Tons

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) noted that the palm oil biodiesel absorption in the first semester of 2019 was impressive. In January – June 2019 it was absorbed about 3,29 million tons or increased 144% compared to in in the same period in 2018 that reached 1,35 million tons.

“The numbers showed that the B20 mandatory program run well in the Public Service Obligation (PSO) and non-PSO,” Executive Director of IPOA, Mukti Sardjono said in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

Until now the government is hoped to accelerate the B30 mandatory program which is still running the road test. The government is encouraged to expand the direct palm oil usage for PT. PLN.

“If every domestic program to absorb it runs well, Indonesia could reduce its dependence to the global markets,” he said.
