InfoSAWIT, MUMBAI - ISEAL Alliance, an institution within global association to the sustainable standards, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSO), WWF-India, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) recently did strategic dialogue and workshop.
This was to unite the relevant stakeholders to have deep discussion about the changes and challenges to solve the deforestation in the chain supply in India.
Located in the head quarter of Unilever India in Mumbai, the meeting was discussing about palm oil, pulp and paper, rubber, and others about the deforestation and wanted to know the clear strategies to be used when dealing with the stakeholders and the government. The result would be analyzed by the committee and the participants. It would be used to propose business policy to encourage the sustainable sources in every chain supply and minimize the carbon track.
CEO Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), Rijit Sengupta said that there are some needs to create the market demands to the sustainable products by creasing the business (users and consumers) together with the partners, such as, RSPO.
“Centre for Responsible Business has planned the strategic ways to realize this in India,” he recently said in the official page of RSPO. (T2)
