InfoSAWIT, PONTIANAK – Vice Chairman of Sawitku Masa Depanku (SAMADE), Pahala Sibuea said that the fund portion to the smallholders is not enough.
For all these years, Palm oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) allocated more in the form of incentive to palm oil procurement (biodiesel).
“We do hope that the fund portion from PFMA for the smallholders could be more because they have lots of needs. In addition, they contributed much to the production nationally,” he said in Indonesian Palm Oil Smallholders Conference & Expo (IPOSC) 2019 : Penguatan SDM dan Kelembagaan Petani Basis Kesuksesan Petani Sawit, in Pontianak, West Kalimantan Barat, which was attended by InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (27/11/2019).
He also mentioned that the smallholders could spend lots, namely to strengthen their institution besides the fund to the replanting program.
“We once proposed to the replanting program but it is not approved until now. We even asked for it to the PFMA, it was ignored to get information about the replanting program to the smallholders,” he said. (T2)
