The CPO Production in January – October 2019 Increased 11%

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The crude palm oil (CPO) production in October 2019 was a little bit smaller than it in September 2019. It might happen for the abnormal rain fall.

But the CPO production in January – October 2019 increased 11% compared to it in January – October 2018. The January – May 2019 production still reached 19% higher than it in January – May 2018 and kept decreasing until 11% in January – October.

The changes indicated that the climate still influences the productivity. According to Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics, the rain in 2019/2020 would be in many palm oil plantations except in some areas in southern North Sumatera, northern Riau, eastern Jambi, and East Kalimantan. “But the drought in 2019 would be influencing the production in 2020,” Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), Mukti Sardjono as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Monday (23/12/2019).
