InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – General Director of Plantation, Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono said that the government wants to accelerate the smallholders’ replanting program (SRP). The first is about the administration. In the previous regulation, for instance, if (the smallholders) want to join SRP, there should be 14 conditions. Now there are 8 conditions before they get the fund support from Palm oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA).
The second, in the previous, the smallholders’ palm oil plantations should be verified about three times but now theirs should be once only. It is done by proposing the verification by online and the integrated team (from the central, provincial, and district/city) would verify it. The online system is very helpful.
“The third is about to change the SRP Team in the Center. In the previous, the Decision of General Director of Plantation No. 168/ Kpts /OT.050/4/2018 is revised to be No. 171/ Kpts /OT.050/5/2019. This is about to support the team to work with integration,” he said in an event where InfoSAWIT did recently attend.
He also said that to support the SRP, his side has published the technical guidance of SRP. It is hoped that every process would be faster. “We are about to strengthen, while the country supports,” he said. (T2)
