InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – After the investigation done by the members of Commission II, Riau Legislators, Thursday (16/01/2020), in the operational of PT Langgam Inti Hibrindo in District of Pelalawan, an activist of Riau from Presidium Pusat (PP) Gabungan Aksi Mahasiswa Alumni Riau (GAMARI), got angry.

From the investigation, PT Langgam Inti Hibrindo (LIH) is assumed to develop palm oil out of the business license (BL) which the government published. The investigation would be the additional reference for PP GAMARI, which focuses to the environment and forestry in the province.

Days before, PP GAMARI had the data issue about the plantation cultivation, may have legal issue in the administration and the BL validation.

“As the early information, media center of PP GAMARI released the ownership and palm oil plantation mastery which reached more than 9.024 hectares which some have no BL license,” Chairman of PP GAMARI, Larshen Yunus said as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (17/1/2020).

He thought that the information was known from the direct measurement and strengthened by the company itself through the public relation, saying that more than 500 hectares of the plantations have no BL.

This makes the organization and other teams would sue and recommend the company to be processed and the license of the company should be revoked for the reasons.

“To us, PP GAMARI is consistent to save the forests in Riau. We would sue the company next days. We also recommend that the company should stop its operation and the owners should be put in jail,” he said.

Meanwhile the company through the public relation of PT Cempaka Mas Abadi Grup (CMA), Yusman said that the company has been taken over for several times and the last was in 2018.

The company belonged to one Malaysian company. After that PT Provident Agro took over the company. Then PT CMA took over it in June 2018. The areas have been planted by palm oil. “That is true that we do wrong, Sir,” Yusman said. (T2)
