Indonesia Would Trade Palm Oil and Coffee to Poland.

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Ministry of Trade keeps making cooperation with all representatives of Indonesia in East Europe and Central Europe, including the Poland. It is about to increase the trade, namely between the two countries. It was told by Vice Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga when meeting the Ambassador of Indonesia in Poland, Siti Nugraha Mauludiah in the office of ministry of trade, Jakarta, Thursday (16/1/2020).

“Ministry of trade wants to increase the exports to the non-traditional countries. Poland is one member of European Union and it is the potential non-traditional countries to develop the exports from Indonesia,” he said as in in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

The citizens of Poland are about 35 million within the economic progress about 4—5 percent. The increasing middle class people could make Poland as the increasing potential as the non-traditional countries for Indonesia. The products which Poland wants to get are, noodle instant, candies, coffee, batik, furniture, coffee, and palm oil.

He also told that the trade between the two countries reached about US$ 600 million. Besides the direct trade, the products from Indonesia to Poland are sold through German, Hungarian, and other West European countries. “By increasing the direct trade, the products from Indonesia could compete in Poland,” he said.

In the meeting, he also took the ambassadors of Indonesia in Poland to do positive palm oil campaigns in Europe. They also discussed about the plan of ministry of trade to join the World Coffee Expo Warsaw 2020 to increase the coffee exports from Indonesia. (T2)
