Wet Drought Would Support the Production Nationally

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the last several months in 2020, the condition to dry season could be seen and some regions in Indonesia start get the season. It is normal that many palm oil plantation companies prepared to prevent the fire in the forest and areas around their plantations in cooperation with the people.

But do you readers know that this year would be like the wet drought? Referring to the study of Pusat Penelitian Kelapa Sawit (PPKS), would the wet drought influence the palm oil production in Indonesia?

PPKS noted that the wet drought could be indicated as the days without rain or hari tanpa hujan (HTH) in short or it is raining still in the dry season. This would happen on 21 June to 30 July 2020.

“Some palm oil plantation centers in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi would be in raining season still in the wet drought,” PPKS noted that InfoSAWIT quoted from its official instagram.

In the wet drought, the sun could shine brightly and water would be enough from the rain. Palm oil trees would get the effective sunshine. “This would support the production in Indonesia,” PPKS noted. (T2)
