Holding PTPN III Got 2 Awards in Top CSR Award 2020

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) got the awards in Top CSR Award 2020 level star 4 and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2020 category. The two were given to Director of Holding PTPN III (Persero), Mohammad Abdul Ghani. He is committed to run the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to realize the sustainable development.

The award in Top CSR Award 2020 was given by Vice Minister of Environment and, Alue Dohong to General Director of Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero), Seger Budiarjo accompanied by Corporate Secretary Holding Perkebunan Nusantara, Imelda Alini in Jakarta, Wednesday (29/7/2020).

Representing the company to get the award, Seger did appreciate Top CSR Award 2020 held by Top Business and leading CSR associations and consultants. He thought that the award is thee support for the system and policy of PTPN III (Persero) in the CSR programs.

“We do appreciate the awards in Top CSR Award 2020 given to PTPN III and the director of PTPN III.  The awards are also the respect and support to continue our CSR program better and more useful for the social and environment,” Seger said to the journalists in Jakarta, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT recently.

He also mentioned that PTPN Grup has run the CSR helps and program kemitraan bina lingkungan (PKBL) to prevent the disaster, and corona virus (Covid-19), the support to micro, small, and middle business, social helps, health services, educational helps, and so on which are useful for the people around our operational, and the people in general.

Vice Minister of Environment and Forestry, Alue Dohong said that the government keeps encouraging so that the CSR of the companies keeps increasing the effectiveness, such as, to prevent the fire by developing the economic and social of the people around the forests.

Chairman of jury of TOP CSR Awards 2020, Mas Achmad Daniri said that the assessment process to determine the winner was objectively and independently done. The main criteria to assess in Top CSR Awards referred to three things, the first is, the CSR adoption level to ISO 26000 social responsibility; the second is the CSR harmony to the business strategy, and the third is how the principles of good corporate governance (GCG) cover the CSR programs.

The event was joined by 120 finalists (of 200 companies). It increased from last year which reached 72 finalists (of 150 companies). The annual TOP CSR Awards is not to give the highest awards to the company which succeeded running their CSR/PKBL/community development programs only but also as the learning way together with other participants to increase the CSR quality programs to support the sustainable business.
