InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - The health sector is one prior for Cargill to help and the support the people. The medical team, as a matter of fact, needs the complete tools to prevent Covid-19 which gets more to hit. By giving the ambulance complete with the medical tools and rapid test kit to the Red Cross in Musi Banyuasin (Muba), it is hoped to support them.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cargill Tropical Palm, Richard Low said that Cargill put the priority to the health because the hospital, the medical staffs are in the front liner to handle Covid-19. “We are in cooperation with the regional hospital, health center, and Red Cross by donating one ambulance as our support. We thank every side for the cooperation and everything to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” he said.
In the previous, Cargill gave the support to prevent the Covid-19 spread in District of Muba and Banyuasin, South Sumatera Province, and in District of Ketapang, West Kalimantan Province by implementing the programs to increase the people’s awareness about Covid-19, educating them by making disinfection activity, providing the self-protection tools and giving medical tools to the health center, hospitals, health agency, agriculture, livestock, and plantation agency, and distributing health equipment to the people, such as, maskers, disinfectant spraying machines, hand sanitizers, thermometer, and food.
The workers of Cargill also helped to prepare, distribute the helps in 11 villages in six sub districts, District of Muba and Banyuasin; and 40 villages in six sub districts, District of Ketapang. The company would keep distributing the help to the local people around the plantations and the Covid-19 task force locally as long as Covid-19 still hits.
