In The Last 5 Years the Exchange from Palm Oil Reached US$ 20 Billion in average

INFOSAWIT, JAKARTA – Until now the crude palm oil (CPO) production keeps increasing. If in 2018 the CPO and palm kernel oil (PKO) production reached 47,3 million tons, in 2019 the two reached 51,8 million tons ton.

The increasing production is the same with the export volume which always gets better. The exchange keeps increasing. If in 2015, the exchange from palm oil sector reached US$ 18,6 billion, in 2019 it reached US$ 20,2 billion.

Vice General Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Association, Agam Fatchurrochman said that the increasing exchange makes palm oil as the balancer for the trade balance in Indonesia which is in deficit still. “The exchange from palm oil sector is the balancer of the trade balance,” he said in online discussion in the early of May 2020 that InfoSAWIT did join.
