InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The smallholders’ replanting program (SRP) keeps running. Koperasi Serba Usaha Al Fa'iz Mandiri in District of Musi Rawas that has 420 independent smallholders got Rp 150 billion for about 1.315 hectares.
Chairman of Koperasi Al faiz Mandiri, Siti Marfuah said that the strategic partnership among the cooperation and the subsidiary of Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food, PT Djuanda Sawit Lestari, and BRI supported to get the SRP fund for the independent smallholders. “The company also helped to cultivate the plantations by providing the superior seeds, fertilizers, sustainable agricultural technics, guidance to get Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO), and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certificate,” she said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT recently.
CEO Perkebunan Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food in South Sumatera told that the partnership program to SRP should increase their productivity and their economy would be better.
Executive Vice President in Agribusiness, PT. BRI (Persero),Tbk., Budhi Novianto told that the signing of credit agreement is follow up of the facility to Independent and Plasma Smallholders SRP of PT BRI (Persero), Tbk., for about Rp 1,75 billion covering about 14.745 hectares. It would be distributed in phase through the strategic partnership with Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food and other cooperatioins in di 3 regions, such as, Pekanbaru, Medan, and Palembang. (T2)
