InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - Head of Plantation, Coordinator Ministry in Economy, Muhammad Saefulloh said that there are six reasons to publish President’s Regulation No. 44 / 2020 (about Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil/ISPO). The first is to improve the ISPO certificate governance by providing the public participation, accountability, and transparency.
The second is to re-manage the ISPO commission from its membership, job description, function, and integrity. The third is to make the function of Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) in the ISPO certification.
The fourth is to perfect the standards and conditions in ISPO certification. The fifth is to increase the notice about deforestation, peat conservation, and green-house gas emission. The sixth is to develop more credible and independent mechanism supervision.
