InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –Vice Chairman of Commission IV, Indonesian Legislators, Daniel Johan said that until now the smallholders always face three things, such as, the first, about the cheap fresh fruit bunch price; the second, about the legal in the forest areas; and the third, about the fund which could not be satisfied from Palm oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA).
He thought that in the future his side would coordinate with PFMA about the fund and mechanism of the helps which ran for all these years because many smallholders do not get the maximal advantages from the fund.
He also thought that his side is preparing the work committee to revise the Plantation Laws by encouraging the smallholders’ involvement in the biodiesel production supply chain nationally and making the work committee to revise the Forestry Laws.
“The revision of Forestry Laws would emphasize the solution of legal issue in the forest areas namely belonging to the people,” he said in the webinar that InfoSAWIT did join Thursday (24/9/2020). (T2)
