InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – To realize the environmental and social palm oil industy, PT. Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk,. (SSMS) got Indonesian Sustainability Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate in phase.
In August 2020, two subsidiaries of SSMS, such as, PT. Sawit Multi Utama (SMU) and PT. Tanjung Sawit Abadi (TSA) in District of Lamandau, Central Kalimantan Province officially got ISPO certificate which was directly handed over by certification institution, PT. SGS Indonesia.
ISPO is the policy published by the government in the Regulation of Minister of Agriculture, No. 11/Permentan/OT.140/3/2/2015. In the regulation, every stakeholders should obey the sustainable palm oil practices.
CEO of PT. Sawit Sumbermas Sarana, Tbk. Vallauthan Subraminam said that the ISPO certificate for the two subsidiaries is the commitment and obedience of the companies to the available regulation. “And ensured that every governance in the sustainable and environmental industry,” he said, as in the official information to InfoSAWIT recently.
The implementation of ISPO standards is the commitment of the company to implement the sustainable practices and the support of the company to change the palm oil image in Indonesia to increase the market competitiveness in the global. (T2)
