The Sustainable Palm Oil Growers Could be better in Food in Pandemic

INFOSAWIT, JAKARTA - Senior Advisor of Forum Petani Minyak Sawit Berkelanjutan Indonesia (FORTASBI), Rukaiyah Rafik said that the smallholders getting sustainable certificates before the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic would have better food security than those independent smallholders.

They could strengthen the institution, get more members, make new businesses and recover the environmental damages.

“Taking samples in Jambi, the smallholders recovered the river which was polluted to make the better environment for every villager along the river,” she said in online discussion and InfoSAWIT did join.

On the other word, she who is familiar with Uki told, the green business model has given good capacity to the smallholders to protect and recover their environment to be the source of living. “And ensure the better life, including during the Covid-19 hitting,” she said. (T2)
